Less networking and more not-working

At Wonder House, you can definitely get work done: there's plenty of space and quiet moments for that. But life is so much more than that. Wonder House thrives on spontaneous hikes, quirky games, themed parties you'll still talk about months later, and conversations under the stars that go deep into the night. Come for the place. Stay for the people. Leave with memories you'll never forget.

Rituals, not meetings

Work meetings end at 5pm. What truly matters begins after. At Wonder House, we believe in the power of rituals, those moments charged with meaning, where long lasting bonds are formed and strangers become stories. And no, not the "offer a blonde virgin to a god" kind of rituals... at least not yet. Here, rituals are the moments that truly connect us: cooking together, discussing if a lime is better than a lemon, or dancing barefoot in the moonlight. Stop worshiping corporate culture. At Wonder House, fun is sacred.

If you're considering this coliving - don't think twice - just book it. When I first saw their website and content I thought 'this might be too much for me', turns out once you're there the rhythm of the house is so welcoming, non-judgemental and very easy to flow with. No matter if you're an introvert or an extrovert, the house has a place for you. I had such an amazing time there and will be definitely coming back. Thank you for all the wonder and for bringing my inner child to life!

Wonder House isn't just a coliving, it's a family. It's a place where you feel welcomed from day one and where you'll always find someone ready to talk. I won't even mention the countless activities we've done together: from when the coliving transformed into a nursing home for a week, to a workshop competition, to a surreal dinner among prophets that culminated with the revelation that twerking is the official religion of coliving. A place that will remain forever in your heart.

It felt very nice to basically turn off my brain and not have to plan my days but still be able to have a super fun social life and community, awesome food, scenic nature and to be able to get some work and thinking done, which I've never been able to have anywhere else. Other than just the house and facilities, the social environment, culture, activities, and approach that the owners are creating is really amazing and they are definitely experts in fostering a community where people are vulnerable, real, authentic, and open to being themselves.

Wonder House allowed me to be just me. It is quirky, it is fun, it brings out your inner child. The people make the space, and the people I encountered at the house were warm, friendly and community formed pretty fast. There were many highlights, and I enjoyed them all, but because I am a foodie, I have to mention that the daily dinners were really special. Everyone gathered in the evening to eat together, food prepared by other colivers. It made you feel like you were in a restaurant and every evening, there was something new to try.

I've really grown to feel at home and have made such amazing friendships with everyone here. We laugh a ton, have deep chats, go on fun outings, play ridiculous games, and just support each other through day to day life in a really beautiful way. Being out in a rural area, but close enough for a day trip to Barcelona by train or other cool spots, has been ideal for maintaining my peace throughout my stay at this amazing coliving.

What a beautiful place and community! If you’re thinking about it, don’t, just book! :) This place feels like home, Anya, Fidel and Aleix have done such a great job to make this place a beautifully lived, thoughtful and playful community. The home itself, 14th century rural home, is inspiring, the art, the set-up, the natural surroundings. The coworking space is spacious and has everything you need! There’s even a natural pool for the warm days:) I highly recommend this place - it’s one of the best colivings :)

FAQ

Coliving? What the heck is that?

Think of coliving as the joyful antidote to our hyper-connected yet oddly disconnected world. It’s a lifestyle where people actually talk instead of text, cook together instead of ordering solo takeout, and swap endless scrolling for epic adventures. Basically, it's about sharing a home with amazing humans who might start as strangers but quickly become your tribe, creating friendships, memories, and maybe even a little bit of delightful chaos along the way.

How big is the house and the community?

Wonder House has 9 rooms and can host up to 22 amazing humans, but usually, we’ll keep it a bit more intimate. The house itself is a massive rural masia, with enough shared spaces to lose yourself: 2 kitchens for culinary masterpieces, a 24/7 co-working zone, a cozy dining hall, a living room with a fireplace, a cinema room for late-night marathons, 2 barbecue areas, a wild garden, a natural pool for mermaid practice, a fully equipped gym... and a forbidden room we’ll definitely pretend doesn’t exist.

What should I expect as a coliver?

This isn’t a hotel, it’s a living, breathing madhouse of imperfect humans, so if you use a common space, clean your mess. If the dishwasher’s screaming for help, save it. Being in the countryside means you'll be vibing with bugs, frogs, and the occasional overly ambitious mosquito. Spot a mouse? Blame the local cats: they unionized, demanded better working conditions, and are currently on indefinite strike. We’ve built the ultimate playground for magic to happen, but it’s up to you and your fellow colivers to bring it to life: organize wild games, sunrise hikes, karaoke battles, you name it. There will be many things happening, but you’re always free to skip a few, hide away with a book, and recharge your inner energy. And if you hear unsettling sounds from the neighbor’s house? Don’t worry. It’s just part of the Wonder House folklore.

What does my stay at the Wonder House include?

Your stay comes with a cozy room/bed to call your own, full access to our common spaces (perfect for spontaneous hangouts and hammock naps), daily activities to spark your spirit, endless outdoor adventures, and a fast Wi-Fi for when you actually need to adult. We host themed communal dinners from Monday to Friday (for a small extra fee to cover ingredients). A small crew (including you, once a week) will cook for everyone else, and this is a great daily moment to gather, feast, and connect over a shared meal. Trust us, you won't want to miss it. We’ve also got you covered with fresh bed linen, fluffy towels, toilet paper, and a stash of kitchen basics like coffee, tea, oil, and spices to fuel your creations. Laundry’s available too, for a tiny extra charge. Basically, you get everything you need to live, connect, and create some seriously unforgettable moments.

How do I get to the Wonder House?

By plane: Barcelona El Prat Airport is just 1h away by car. There's also a direct train from the airport to Hostalric (the closest village) 2-3 times a day. We can pick you up from the train station. The closest Airport is Girona-Costa Brava Airport, which is 30 minutes away by car.

By car: Just follow Google Maps: Wonder House Coliving, we are less than 1h away from Barcelona and you can park your car at the premises.

By train: There are regular trains from Barcelona city center to the closest village Hostalric (approximately every 2h and the train takes 1h) and a train from Barcelona Airport to Hostalric 2-3 times a day. We will pick you up by car at the Hostalric train station, it’s a 10 min ride from there to the Wonder House.

Crawling: Lost a leg (or two) in the zombie apocalypse? No problem. It'll only take you around 60 hours to crawl your way to the Wonder House. We’ll be waiting at the door armed with axes, chainsaws, and a hot cup of coffee.

What are the working conditions?

When duty calls (or your boss does), we've got your back: a 24/7 dedicated co-working space with ergonomic chairs and beautiful views to keep the inspiration flowing. Prefer a more laid-back vibe? You’ll find plenty of cozy nooks around the house, and even your room comes with its own desk for those "do not disturb" moments. Our Wi-Fi covers the entire house and garden, with speeds over 100 Mbps for downloads and 10–20 Mbps for uploads. And if it ever lags... just shake your fist at the sky and blame Elon Musk.

How do groceries work?

The nearest supermarkets are just a 10-minute drive away. We organize daring grocery quests 2-3 times a week, and if you prefer the wizardry of the internet, you can summon your supplies online right to our doorstep. For our epic communal dinners, we’ll handle the necessary ingredients, you just show up hungry and ready for the feast.

What is the minimum stay duration?

Our minimum stay is 32 days, because real connections don’t happen overnight. It gives you time to settle in, sync with the community vibe, and truly live the Wonder House experience.

What if I arrive and it's not what I expected?

No stress, we’ve got a happiness safety net. If during your first 7 days at Wonder House you feel it’s not your place, you can leave with no drama and we’ll refund your money. We want people here because they love it, not because they feel stuck.

What is the cancellation policy?

To secure your booking, we require a 30% deposit, which is non-refundable.
Advance Cancellation (30 days or more): If you cancel 30 days or more before arrival, you will only forfeit the non-refundable 30% deposit and will incur no further charges.
Late Cancellation or No-Show (Less than 30 days): If you cancel less than 30 days before arrival or are a no-show, you will be charged the equivalent of one full month's stay (we will credit your initial deposit toward this amount, and charge you the difference).
First-Week Happiness Guarantee: If after arriving you feel Wonder House is not your place, you can cancel within your first 7 days with no extra charges, and we’ll refund what you paid.
Early Departure: If after the first week, you decide to leave before the agreed check-out date, the remaing stay (with a maximum of 30 days) will be changed. This policy covers the gap created by last-minute changes, making it easier for us to find a new person on short notice.

What can I do around here?

Montseny Natural Park is basically your giant backyard, packed with endless hikes, secret gorges, and if you're feeling very zen some good old-fashioned mushroom hunting. We're also just 30 minutes from the Costa Brava’s crystalline beaches, surrounded by charming villages, ancient castles, and enough medieval fairs, witch festivals, and local markets to make you wonder what century you woke up in. Need a city fix? Barcelona’s just an hour away and Girona is even closer at 40 minutes. Oh, and if you’re craving adrenaline: trail running, zipline parks, and via ferratas are basically calling your name. Adventure, culture, and a little bit of magic, it’s all waiting for you.

I don't speak any Spanish or Catalan, is that a problem?

No problemo, amigo! English is the main language at the Wonder House, and we make sure everyone’s in the loop. If a conversation drifts into Spanish, Catalan, or Martian, we gently hit the "switch to English" button so no one gets left out.

Are pets allowed?

Furry friends are welcome in the suite for a small extra fee! Just a heads-up: we already have a few unofficial, self-appointed garden guardians (a.k.a. the local cats) who like to chill in the sun but politely keep their paws out of the house.

Can I come with children?

Not for now. Wonder House is currently an adults-only playground, partly because we host some slightly wild, grown-up activities that don’t exactly scream "kid-friendly." We might revisit this policy in the future, but for now, it’s all about the adults getting to be kids again.
